I like Tonks also, but I don't think she'll develop into much more. My
reasoning? Well, I think Tonks is in the book for one reason - to introduce Harry
(and us) to the fact that some (very few) wizards are Metamorphagus (sp?), and
what that means.
JKR has a tendency to use things twice in her books. For example: Polyjuice
- in CoS(HRH) and then GoF(Moody); Animagus - in PoA (Sirius) and GoF(Rita);
Mirror of Erised, twice in SS. Those are the ones that stand out right now to
me.
Which makes me ask, what other character is also going to end up being a
metamorphagus??
Someone we already know or a new character? I'm wondering if it could be
Snape, only because I loved the theory that he used Polyjuice Potion at the end
of GOF to become Crouch jr and go see Voldemort, which I now don't think was
the case. But what a better way to spy than in disguise?
Oh, and JKR also said in that recent interview that some stuff in OOP was
there to set up for books 6 and 7...
