I figure Harry will live. During an early interview (I think after
the first book) she stated she saw the series following Harry until
the end of his schooldays and in the final book he will have come of
age in the wizarding world, ready to leave the Dursleys at last.
Just imagine how shocked I'll be if she lied! I think when she
outlined the book she was writing for a target audience of 8-12 year
olds and I don't envision her killing off their hero (but I've been
wrong before).
One of the major themes of the books is the struggle between good and
evil. I don't see her leaving it as evil wins. Of course she could
throw in the 'choices we make' theme and have Harry bite the dust
taking LV with him.
