House elves are far more than meets the eye - I just reminded of the 
events in CoS, in particular by Dobby's homicidal determination to 
get Harry back to Privet Drive by any means possible. Dobby 
obviously knew about Lucius' plan/the whole Tom Riddle business but 
given his actions in Cos, it seems that he was well aware that Harry 
was protected by Dumbledore's charm at Privet Drive. It makes me 
wonder about what else Dobby (and the other elves for that matter)
know about Harry and the prophecy.
