I am struggling through a veritable sea of back posts (over 4,000 to
get through at last count which is why, only now, I'm responding to
number 61800 or thereabouts) so forgive me if this has since been
covered. I was glad you brought this up since Ron utters the Lord's
name in vain in OoP and so far as I have got in this forum (ref above
backlog) no-one else has mentioned it. Chapter 4, page 73 (UK
edition) we have: "Snape never eats here," Ron told Harry
quietly. "Thank God." As soon as I read this it leapt off the page at
me since I have never before heard any WW person refer to any god
with either a big G or a little g. I can only assume this is:

1) Something Ron has picked up from a muggle-born classmate like Dean
or 2) an error by JKR.

Other than that, no, no religious figures mentioned in the WW to my
recollection.

Cheers
Martin (with both buttocks still on)
