Could you please support this with some quotes? I'm not sure about
this at all, namely. I think that, for example, if Sirius and Lupin
knew what was in it, they wouldn't have referred to it as "a weapon"
back in Grimmauld Place 12. I'm pretty sure some of them (if not most
of them) knew that it was a prophecy about Harry and LV, but not what
the actual contents are.
It'd be most interesting if you're right, though! Can you think of
any specific quotes that I can go look up?
Cheers,
Alon
Okay, my book is loaned out so I don't have it to give exact quotes, and
again I'm not positive which is why I was questioning. There was a a scene
after Ron and Hermione were made prefects and Harry overheard Shackleford
questioning why DD didn't make Harry prefect. Lupin said something like,
"He'll have his reasons" which seems to me like he knows something.
When Sirius and Mrs. Weasley were having their 'I love Harry more' argument,
Mrs. W. keeps stressing that DD doesn't want Harry aware of "more than he
needs to know" which makes me think she knows something.
After the dream about the snake, when Harry takes Sirius aside in the
kitchen to tell him about his dream, Sirius' face is hidden in shadow so
Harry can't see his reaction. He tried to brush it off. But at the end
when DD is talking to Harry, he tell him that Sirius told him about this
talk and how Harry felt Voldemort inside him. So, obviously the adults were
talking more than what we got to see from Harry's POV. Make any sense?
