Why should LV fear DD at all? [spoilers]

This thought just occured to me:

We dedude from the prophecy says that the only one who has the power 
to destroy Voldemort is either Neville Longbottom or Harry Potter.  
We also know that Voldemort knows at least that much.  Why then 
should he - Voldemort - fear Dumbledore out of all wizards in the 
WW, if he knows for a fact that Dumbledore is incapable of bringing 
about his downfall?  If anything, should that not give him an 
incredible amount of confidence, since he knows that he is 
practically immune from ultimate defeat against anyone except Harry?
There must be something we don't know, because something sure isn't 
right in this picture.
