OOP: Harry, LV, Prophecy, Wand - (Spoiler Alert)

2) Does anyone else see the connection between Harry's wand and the 
Prophecy ? Ollivander, in PS/SS says that its the wand that chooses 
its owner. According to the prophecy, either Neville or Harry could 
have been the chosen ones but LV chose Harry. The core of both 
Harry's wand and LV's wand have the feathers given from the same 
Phoenix. LV chose Harry and the wand(brother to LV's wand) chose 
Harry. Is this a possibility ?

But remember  - Neville has been using his father's old wand. Maybe that is
why he has not been that good in 
his magic. Remember, even Ron, could not do very well in his classes,
because he has Bill's old wand.
We had this huge discussion way back re that. 
So may be now when Neville goes to buy his new wand at Ollivander, he may
have the core of a phoenix 
just like Harry and LV???
