The full title is "For those most Frequently Asked OOP Questions
the most Frequent Answers."
So it's an FAQ which is offering the most frequent answers given on
this board. This may include speculation, as well as canon. If you
want canonically accurate, only, I would suggest re-reading Order of
the Phoenix. JK Rowling writes much better than we do [grin].

If you read the various versions as they come out, you would notice
that they are changing slightly each time. This is because they are
being updated as people point out errors, or as other frequent
questions appear. Other people have, incidentally, pointed out
supposed errors in canon, that have proved to be *them* getting it
wrong. ;-)
Gryffindor's is the only empty hour glass we read about, yes. But on
page 552 of the British edition, it says "Even as they watched,
stones flew upwards, reducing the amounts in the lower bulbs. In
fact, the only glass that seemed unchanged was the emerald-filled
one of Slytherin."
It is canonical that the Inquisitorial squad was taking away points
from all other houses than Slytherin. Ernie Macmillan has five
points off, and he's a Hufflepuff. From the above quote,Ravenclaw is
losing points. Gryffindor is losing *lots* of points.
So the only change needed is from 'completely emptied'
to 'drastically reduced, or completely emptied'. ;-)

Nobody ever feels bad about asking *somebody else* to work harder,
Tom.
