Yes, and then she said it would have been problematic to mention the 
Thestrals at the end of GOF, without explaining it. And quite 
frankly, considering that some fans even think that not enough was 
answered in OOTP, I can understand JKRs point of view. I would have 
want to see fans reaction, if Harry suddenly were able to see some 
creatures nobody else can see at the end of GOF, and JKR wouldn't 
have explained it. I believe her in this case, that the reason was 
because it would have been problematic to include the Thestrals in 
GOF, and even it is was a flint, her explanation to cover it, is IMO 
a good one. And @ Lily: Harry might have seen her die (and even this 
isn't sure, for all we know, he could have been sleeping), but he 
didn't realize, what he saw. So I have no problems at all with it.
