It's really quite annoying that with everything mentioned above by 
Darrin and the possibility that Hermione doesn't really get along 
with her parents by Scott, that JKR assumes that there's nothing 
else we should learn or know about the Grangers.  Yes the book is 
about Harry Potter, but inquiring minds would like to know:  What do 
Muggle parents think of their children being wizards?  Particular of 
why their daughter is always in the hospital wing. It'll only take a 
few paragraphs of Harry asking Hermione what her parents have to say 
and that's it.

I've come to realize though that Hermione, like Dean, hasn't been 
honest with her parents about her adventures, although if they were 
sent a letter for anytime she was in the hospital I would question 
why 2 out of 5 times she's been with Harry (you forgot about the OoP 
Darrin :p).
