What about death is noble? This abrupt pull-the-rug-out-from-under-
you kind of death was so much more effective. Sirius never planned to
go to the MoM and die. He thought he had the situation well in hand
otherwise he wouldn't have taunted Bella. It seems this book was very
effective in making people realize they had put all kinds of
expectations on JKR and thankfully, she wasn't about to worry over
meeting them.
