A.G. again-Lucius only thinks wife is a pure blood.  Just like most 
oof the DEs think V. is pure blood.  Recall the look of surprise and 
the uttered denials from Bellatrix when Harry told her at MoM that V. 
was a half blood (mudblood)-she was shocked and did not believe him-
because the followers follow based on their presumption that the Dark 
Lord is pure blood and hates all others.
