"Silly Little Girl" (was The Potters)

What's the deal with this comment "silly little girl".  It's been 
used consistantly to "describe" Hermione and to shut her up, but it 
has been used with Lily as well.  Could it be possible that Hermione 
is a reflection of Lily, personality wise?  Involving herself in 
things she ought not.  In PS/SS, we know that Petunia says that Lily 
became involved with that "Potter" and got herself blown up.  What 
else could Lily have possibly gotten herself involved in that 
she "shouldn't have"?  Was she a smartypants that drove the Marauders 
up the wall, like Hermione usually does to Harry and Ron?
