House points and prefects

Me: i think the whole point counting is done by magic. In this
particular instance, the fact that Percy is fidgeting with his badge
could mean that he is nervous or unhappy about having to be strict
and law abiding with his family, but he is a prefect and he has to
act as one; but it still is uncomfortable or difficult to do so, so
he touches his badge for reassurance or something like that. At least
that is what i understand from that particular scene.
