Me: We do have canon proof of that. When Harry first meets Draco, he says the following: "I know I'll be in Slytherin, all my family have been." There! All Malfoys have been in Slytherin. Since I'm quite sure that there is no Slytherin House at Durmstrang, therefore Lucius MAlfoy attended Hogwarts. Karkaroff also attended Hogwarts, he says so himself in GoF, something to the effect of (I'm too lazy to look up the exact quote) "Dear old Hogwarts. It's good to be back." All the while wearing a look on his face that clearly says his honest opinion differs(IIRC).
