I always was under the impression that Quidditch was kind of like American 
football (is that what the rest of the world calls it?  Why couldn't us 
Americans think of a sport name that wasn't already taken?!?!?  Oh 
well...back to HP!), girls play but it's not really a "girl thing".  The 
Gryffindor girls being exceptions.  Not many of the girls are interested 
unless they're of an athletic nature.  
On another note, does the lack of extracurricular activities in that castle 
bother anyone else?  I cannot imagine school without band and chorus and ... 
well, I didn't play sports but I know kids who would've gone nuts without 
them.  They only club they had was the Dueling Club, and we all read how well 
that went.....Any ideas/comments/theories/flames?
