Well of course canon is silent about whether the WW has taxes at all (and,
if so, what sort of taxes they are).

I think that for those wizard families who exist in "both worlds" ie where
there are mixed relationships, then they would be liable for Muggle taxes to
the extent that they are "in the system". If you are on the payroll of a
Muggle company, then you would be liable for the usual National Insurance,
PAYE, and the rest. If you live in a house with a Muggle address, you'd be
chased after for council tax. And so on. But if you're not in the system,
then it's not in a position to chase after you.

I have the feeling for example that the MoM has an agent in one of the key
Muggle ministries (such as the Cabinet Office) just to find out what's going
on. But I don't think that person is going to be on the departmental
payroll, and would be protected by spells that would make them unnoticeable.
Likewise, if you have a house like the Burrow, it's just not noticed by
Muggles, their vision just slides over it.
