Heh. There's nothing unusual about this at all. Hermione is mentally very
mature for her age, and generally girls mature faster than boys in this
phase of life. She seems to have her head screwed on solidly; and we know
nothing about Krum, but I'm guessing his life has included sports, sports
and more sports up until this point. She may even be the first interest
he's been able to actually talk to.
