Something you seem to keep forgetting is Ginny's age. She is 10 years old when she first hears about the famous Harry Potter...and hell, what 10 year old girl would NOT want to meet a celebrity?? And what 11 year old girl would NOT get a crush on him after meeting him in person? It's perfectly normal...it says nothing negative about her character. 

And while 90% of her feelings towards Harry right now may be celebrity-worship, i feel sure that as she grows older, it will turn into more. As we all know, there are many wonderful things about Harry for her to fall in love with. And as she matures and sees those things in him, i believe she will have a much deeper appreciation for him. 

While i don't want them to "get together" at this point in the series, i'd be all for it down the road.
