Well, Harry missed the feast his second and third years, so we don't 
know what might have been said.  His fourth year, the Tri-Wizard 
Tournament pretty much dominated the remarks.  I always just 
attributed D's "few words" to being nonsense, kind of like an opening 
joke in a speech.  Maybe I'm missing something, but that's just what 
I thought.
