Me:

Dumbledore has stated several times that he believes Harry's scar 
hurts when Voldemort is feeling a particular surge of hatred or 
anger.  Therefore, Harry's scar would  not hurt every time Quirrell 
was around, just when Voldemort was feeling particularly powerful.

Me:
I am pretty sure at this point that Fred and George ( or rather Gred 
and Forge ), certainly used some kind of time travel device to get 
this piece of extrordinary information.  Whether is is a time turner, 
like Hermione used to have, or something else entirely, I don't 
know.  I am however, convinced that some type of time travel did 
happen there.
