Okay, I know in this scene we're supposed to feel anger towards Snape for
taking points away, but c'mon. Just look at it from a simpler POV: Snape
*did not* call on Hermione (say whatever you want about him being a nasty
insufferable git). She called out in class. She should know better. I have
classes that I would never *dream* of speaking out in. Even if the teacher
doesn't call on you, you don't yell out the answer; that's just stupid.
Especially in this situation. Hermione *knows* Snape is a "git" yet she
still yells out the answer ... perhaps not yells but you know what I mean.
She *knows* he takes points off for things like that yet she still answers.
She. Should. Have. Known. Better.
