  I think this theory is a stretch but it does
  depend on the interpretation of events.  The
  thing that doesn't fit for me is if Lupin is
  James, why he would still distrust Sirius.  James
  would have known that Pettigrew was the secret
  keeper and not Sirius.  I don't see Lily and
  Lupin making that kind of decision without
  informing James of the change and I don't see
  James not doing anything to help Sirius or try to
  find Pettigrew after.
