I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong -- I don't have access
to the text this minute -- but I believe there's a scene in GoF after
the tournament announcement in which Harry *does* imagine himself as
Triwizard Champion.  I think it's after the welcome feast when
everyone has gone back to the dormitories, and there's some indication
that Harry wasn't the only one having the champion fantasy.
