On page 332 of the paperback CoS is where the conversation between Harry
and DD is. DD says, "You can speak Parseltongue, Harry," says Dumbledore
calmly, "because Lord Voldemort - who *is* the last remaining ancestor
of Salazar Slytherin  - can speak Parseltongue."


BTW, is there a typo in this quote? It says he is the *ancestor* of
Salazar Slytherin. Wouldn't he be the descendant?
