What George says is, "House-elves come with big old manors and castles
and places like that...". But those are also the kind of places where
you find sevants in general. So I don't know if we can take this quote
literally. I really think he is saying that only rich people are
likely to have servants/elves. It's not as easy as having gnomes or
ghouls in the attic.

Just a thought.
