Here, have a nice turquoise flag of movie contamination, Becky. I'm 
afraid that canon doesn't state that. *From the books* we  don't know 
what position James played at. From the second Scholastic interview we 
are told he was a chaser (not a seeker). His house its not mentioned 
either, although JKR stated in the same interview that he was a 
Gryffindor, IIRC. I personally trust more the interviews than the 
movie.
