On the spine, there appears to be somebody looking out of the top window.
I see the two 'humanoid' (the first is the disgruntled house-elf,
perhaps?), but there also seems to be a third figure IN the branches of
the tree.
I think the 'hand' above the doorway(?) is actually just a sculpted piece
of the architecture that is sometimes used to decorate doorways. It looks
to be to be two hands somewhat clasped together, as if in a manner similar
to prayer.
What is the source of the pool of light (if that is what it is) on the
ground at the other side of the big tree? For some reason, it doesn't look
like it's coming from the doorcrack.
I don't see anything resembling lettering anywhere near the roof line.
