Interesting idea - I love how symbolism is used in
this way. However... Harry Potter himself has black
hair; not only that, but Dean Thomas and Lee Jordan
are both Gryffindors as well, and they both have black
hair (being black). So, while maybe hair color was
significant for the founders of Hogwarts, I do not
think that it has any significance as far as the
students go. IMO, it seems as though the Sorting Hat
reads their minds. ^_^
