Maybe I'm being naive here, but since when was there ever going to be 
a character named icicle?
I think that I remember seeing a transcript of a chat (sorry don't 
have a link to it, don't actually even remember where it is) where 
someone with an id of icicle asked JKR a question and under that line 
she said something along the lines of (paraphrasing by memory): cool 
name, mind if I use it? 

BUT, I never saw that as her wanting to use icicle as a name because 
there were so many names in that room you couldn't be sure who she 
was referring to. Anyone who's been in a chat room knows there is a 
bit of lag time and you have to get used to it. So where is the 
reference to this being a character that got written out?
