I don't remember if DD's already trusted him, but wow! That's 
interesting. It's especially interesting if you think about the 
incident most important to the plot thus far in which someone 
trusted another someone with their life -- Pettigrew being the 
Potters' Secret-Keeper. Wonder if this is a hint that the character 
who appears to be Jolly!Animal-Loving!Hagrid is really ESE!Hagrid. 
Probably not, but it would be interesting.
