Well, he puts up with the snarky bastard--and that, for Snape, is A LOT!!! :-)
It's not a Snapledore thing at all, just a father-figure type vibe I get from it.
Perhaps I should have said...."indulgence" and not "affection". D-dore does
allow Snape to get away with an awful lot (I would say) but we never really
see him get too mad, he just smiles and twinkles and says, "Come, Severus,
there's a delicious looking custard tart I want to sample." (Uk Ad Ed soft
p64).
