Me:
Yes, I think so. I was joking. I was just saying it was cunning, 
because my theory about what it says to students is that it's being 
indirect and manipulative, though not in a bad way, saying things 
that will elicit one of two responses and in doing so, reveal the 
students' choices. It's comments to Harry about Slytherin are the 
basis for why I think that.
