Don't forget that Sirius was mentioned just once by name in the first 
chapter of PS/SS.  When Hagrid arrives at the Dursleys with baby 
Harry, he tells Dumbledore that he borrowed young Sirius Black's 
motorcyle.  Then no mention of Sirius until Book 3 where Sirius is 
such an important character that he is the subject of the book's 
title! (P0A).  I've learned to pay attention to any name that 
appears.  Although I completely missed out on the "Mark Evans" 
reference!  I need to get back my loaned-out copy of OotP!!!
