If say, as on some other threads here, Petunia's dad was a wizard or 
squib who'd married a muggle and dropped off the radar like Mrs. 
Figg, making Lily still a 'mudblood'and Petunia knowledgeable, that's 
only a second cousin.  I do know of my second cousins, and sometimes 
am surprised to think we all came from the same great-grandparents, 
since we don't see each other that often and basically live separate 
lives geographically distant...

Another thought: I was wondering why he'd be named Mark... makes me 
think of 'the dark lord will mark him as his equal, etc.'.. Obviously 
that is about Harry, but why would this Evans be Marked?
