I think you misunderstand my meaning here (either
that, or I misunderstand yours).  I'm not saying that
what he believes is inconsistant (though it is) but
that his behavior is inconsistent.  In GOF, he
believed "Crouch."  But he was very cool and unruffled
and dignified.  In OOTP he is excited and emotional
and frankly very weird.  That's the incosistant part
to me.
