Doesn't Ron say that his mother will "kill" him when she finds out
about the wrecked car in CS? Surely it's just a figure of speech
commonly used by kids who think they're going to get in trouble. I
think Neville is just worried because it was his dead father's wand as
as such is important to his father's mother.
