I do remember this coming up quite some months ago, but since I can't
imagine what would be a good keyword to search for this, I'm not at
all surprised you couldn't find it!

Turns out, in the UK editions, only Lisa, Ron, and Blaise are sorted
after that statement.  In the US, Dean Thomas' sorting was inserted
here (and the fact that he's black is mentioned), but the editors
failed to catch the need to change the number of people left to be
sorted!  And, who knows why they made the change?
