When Sirius was asked if he was ever prefect he responded that
Lupin was the good boy as he and James were often in detention
together. If they had been in different houses, this wouldn't have
mattered. We know James played quidditch for the Gryffindors so it
seems a safe guess that Sirius and Remus probably were as well.
