Or maybe he had the potion in a corked phial in his pocket and
wouldn't have had a chance to offer it even if he'd wanted to, or
remembered during all that drama, because he was knocked out? Or he
forgot and left it behind in the office in his rush to get out and
find Sirius? Who knows? :-)
