Significance of Harry's blood in Voldemort

Don't know if this has already been addressed.
 
Now that Voldemort has Harry's blood in him, it seems to me that Harry is protected *against* Voldemort.  Petunia could die, but Voldemort would still have Harry's blood, so the ancient magic would remain intact.
 
I think Voldemort has done himself a grave disservice by using Harry's blood.
