What Professor Flitwick told Madam Rosmerta (PoA, p205 US):
"The information is hidden inside the chosen person, or Secret-
Keeper, and is henceforth impossible to find - unless, of course,
the Secret-Keeper chooses to divulge it. As long as the Secret-
Keeper refused to speak...."
So the information isn't "unknowable to anyone." Secret-Keeper
(Wormtail) could have told the Longbottoms, or written it out for
them the way Dumbledore did for Harry. The big question is who did
Wormtail tell, and how did he hide the fact he was the Secret-
Keeper? I'm working on collecting fact, clues, and theories on this
puzzle.
