I actually think that she's more likely to be his common sense.

While Hermione has the intellect, Ginny probably has more innate common
sense than the entire Trio put together.

(A good example of this is when she forces Harry to talk about his worries
that he's being possessed, and lets him know how stupid he's being for not
coming to talk to her... someone who's actually BEEN possessed.)
