Another problem with the sorting - you're going to need roughly equal
numbers in each house, especially as the classes are house-based.
Perhaps the hat starts off at the beginning of the alphabet putting
the kids into whichever house they're best suited for, but towards the
other end, they wind up in whichever house is falling behind on
numbers. Possibly why all the Weasleys ended up in Griffindor - a lack
of exceptionally brave ten-year-olds. Also a possible justification
for Blaise Zabini turning out to be a good Slytherin...
