After GoF, I thought Ron would be at least tempted to betray Harry 
in some way.  He was always talking about how awful it was to be 
poor, and I thought someone might try to "buy" him.  But that theme 
seemed to disappear in OoP, and Ron found his moment in the sun 
thanks to Quidditch, so I don't see it happening.  But that would 
certainly be an unexpected blow, eh?
