My money is on SUSAN BONES. 

As early as PS/SS in the Leaky Cauldron, Hagrid mentioned "some o' 
the best witches an' wizards of the age -- the McKinnons, the Bones, 
the Prewetts."  

In OOtP (chap9), Moody says "That's Edgar Bones, they got him and his 
family, too, he was a great wizard."  

So if LV is the Heir of Slytherin; Harry is the descendant of 
Gryffindor; Susan may be the heir of Hufflepuff which is why her 
family was targetted.    ~aussie~
