Actually,
Susan Bones is mentioned in several of the books (PS/SS, and I can't 
find the other references right now! grr :-) )AND in the PS/SS movie 
she's the only one of the first years we see sorted besides HRH and 
Draco. I've thought for a long time that she will be very important 
to the series.
