Kneazles Oriental?

Does anyone else except me think that Kneazles must be an Oriental cat race, like Abyssinians or Siamese? I mean, they are small, with large ears and a tail so thin as to be able to carry a tassel, I can't imagine a Persian or a Siberian with a tasseled tail :), and they are very clever and affecionate. An Oriental breed to me. Or does FB say something on the contrary? I don't have the book, and Lexicon says nothing about it.
Thoughts?
