At last-a subject at which I can compete with Pip!  (We have 5 cats, 
2 of which are Maine Coon mixes.)

Crookshanks always sounds like a Persian mix to me, because of the 
squashed face thing.  And they can be pretty hefty.  However, he's 
smarter than a lot of Persians-must be the kneazle in him.
