Hermione's Summer

Im sure this has been discussed a million times (sorry if it has but I did a 
quick search and it threw up a LOT of messages so here goes...)

Hermione- why is she even at Grimmauld place? I can't see any reason the order 
would want/need her around and I can't understand what she has to give that she 
must be there?

Also there's the issue of her parents-why would they want their only daughter 
in danger if she didn't have to be and why wouldn't they want to see her after 
her having been away from home since the  World Cup, last summer?
